Benefits:
1. Softens skin and hair.
2. Regulates sebum secretion without drying.
3. Regenerates skin cell tissue by gently removing dead cells and improving skin clarity and elasticity.
4. Rebalances the skin and tightens the pores.
5. Provides optimal repair and renewal to both skin and hair by nourishing the skin and scalp tissue cells with pro-vitamins and trace minerals such as silicon, iron, magnesium, potassium and sodium.
6. Reduces dryness and flakiness.
7. Cleanses curly hair without stripping the natural oils (sebum).
8. Detangles, defines and detoxifies naturally curly hair.
9. Non-irritating to skin and scalp, suitable for all skin and hair types.
Uses:
Non-lather hair shampoo: In Morocco, it is traditionally mixed with virgin Argan oil, and rose floral water and used as a gentle shampoo. Rhassoul clay enhances the hair’s texture and volume, softening each strand, removing dandruff and build-up.
Hair and scalp mask: To regulate sebum production and stimulate healthy hair growth
Facial mask: To purify, cleanse and tighten pores.
For hands, feet and nails: Simply combine 5grams of Rhassoul Clay to 10ml of warm water and stir to a thick paste. Add a drop of Lavender and/or Lemon essential oil, apply the Rhassoul mixture, and leave it on for 10-20 minutes then rinse with warm water. Rhassoul clay will soften the skin, gently remove dead tissue cells and strengthen nails.
Body Packs: Mix one part clay with three parts warm kettle water or until the desired consistency is achieved. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth, even, paste and apply to your entire body. Leave it on for 30 mins then rinse with warm water.
Poultice for aching muscles: Mix one part clay with three parts warmed kettle water or until you have a paste with a thick, cake batter, like consistency. Spread the paste onto a piece of gauze or clean cotton strips, cover and apply directly to the affected area(s). Secure with a bandage, if required. Leave in place for up to 2 hours, spraying constantly with warm water, do not allow the paste to dry. Rhassoul clay poultices have a warming effect on sore joints, reduce inflammation and improve movement. Once used discard the poultice and follow up with Organic Andiroba oil rub on the affected area(s). Amazonian tribes have used Andiroba oil for centuries, topically treat muscular aches and pains.
First Aid: Mix a small amount of clay with warm water, Aloe Vera gel, or Organic Rose Floral water. Stir until a smooth paste has formed. Apply directly to cuts, minor burns, rashes, stings and mosquito bites. Leave it to dry, do not rinse, simply allow it to flake off naturally.
Daily cleanser: Rhassoul clay can be used as a natural daily cleanser instead of soap. Mix a small amount of equal portions of yogurt, honey and clay into the consistency of an off the shelf cleansing lotion. Use your homemade cleanser in the morning and in the evening to remove dirt and make-up. Store any left over cleanser in the fridge and use within 24 hours.
Baths: Add 25 grams of clay together with 2 drops of your favourite essential oil(s) to your bath water and mix thoroughly. Soak and enjoy! You can also add Chamomile powder to soften your skin and enrich the experience.
